How to remove a Trojan, Virus, Worm or other Malware

Download and extract the Autoruns program by Sysinternals to C:\Autoruns

Restart the computer into safe mode so that the malware is not started when you are doing these steps.

Navigate to the C:\Autoruns folder you created in step 1 and double-click on autoruns.exe.

When the program starts, press on the options menu and enable the options by clicking on them. This will place a checkmark next to each of these options.
- Include empty locations; verify code signatures, hide signed Microsoft entries.
- Then press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the startups list using these new settings.
- You should delete the file using My Computer or Windows Explorer. If you can not see the file, it may be hidden.
- When you are finished removing the malware entries from the registry and deleting the files, restart into normal mode.
How to remove a computer virus

- First you visit Microsoft update and install the latest updates for your computer.
- If you currently use antivirus software, visit the manufacturer's Web site, update your software and then perform a complete scan of your computer.

Reinstall Windows
If the infection cannot be removed or if it keeps coming back, you have no other choice but to reinstall Windows. It takes some time but you will soon catch up again when you are no longer plagued by the errors of a contaminated system.
